2015 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon
Rating: 99
Drink: 2019-2039
Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is fullbodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed.
2015 M. Étain Cabernet Sauvignon
Rating: 94
Drink: 2017-2030
Produced from younger vines on the estate and containing 3.5% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon M Etain reveals a deep garnetpurple color and nose of crème de cassis, dark chocolate and espresso with dried herbs, preserved plums and licorice. Full-bodied and sporting a great concentration of expressive black fruits and spices, it has an approachable frame of grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with herbal and earthy nuances.
